Explanation of stones:
Agate – A cooling stone, protects against danger and promotes strength and healing.
Amazonite – A bluish-green feldspar. Worn by gamblers to attract luck and money. Also used by anyone taking a chance to ensure success.
Amethyst – A purple quartz. Birthstone for February. Said to be a powerful amulet for travelers. Worn to calm fears, lift spirits & spiritual awareness.
Ametrine - A yellow/violet Crystal Quartz. Indicates a cheerful composure and fulfilled existence.
Amber - Not a stone, but fossilized resin of coniferous trees. Probably the oldest substance used for human adornment. Known for luck, healing, strength, protection, beauty and love.
Aquamarine – A variety of beryl. Stone of the “Sea-Goddesses”. A cleansing and pacificator stone. Worn as a protective amulet during journeys across water. Stone of peace, joy and happiness in relationships – a most appropriate gift for bridegroom to give his bride on the day of their nuptials.
Aventurine – Known to be an all-around luck stone, a gambler’s talisman and used in money-attracting magic.
Bloodstone - A green chalcedony flecked with red spots. Carried by ancient soldiers to halt bleeding. Also worn as a general health-giving talisman.
Carnelian – A red form of chalcedony. Worn to stimulate sexual impulses and bolster courage.
Chalcedony - Carried for luck. Used for beauty, strength, energy and success in all undertakings.
Chrysocolla - Stone for peace, love, wisdom and soothing emotions.
Citrine – A form of Quartz. A “Merchant’s Stone”, attracting wealth and success. Increases motivation and activates creativity.
Clear Quartz - A crystal Quartz, called as the "Star Stone" or "Milk Stone", Best known for stimulating psychism as in the Crystal Ball.
Coral - Coral comes from Greek words meaning "daughter of the sea" and is thought to contain "life essence". Used for healing, protection, peace and wisdom.
Fluorite – A New Age stone. Used for advancement of mind, greater concentration and meditation.
Garnets – A lovely warm stone, worn to enhance bodily strength, endurance and vigour. Also, known as a protective stone.
Green Phantom - Water clear Crystal Quartz with Tourmaline inclusions. Rare crystals used to combine energies to produce creativity and intellectual advancement.
Hematite - A heavy, solid, silvery black stone which is a "volcanic spit". A grounding stone for healing and divination.
Jade – Is a scared stone in China, representing status and favourable fortune. A stone of fidelity. Also revered as a protective talisman.
Jasper – An opaque variety of chalcedony, found in a variety of colours. A protective stone against physical and non-physical hazards.
Labradorite - A glittering feldspar which facilitates imagination, creativity and enhances artistic talents.
Lapis Lazuli - A lasurite rock, associated with kings and queens. Promotes dignity, honesty, friendship and sociability.
Lemon Chrysoprase – A cheering stone, worn to lift emotions. Also worn for eloquence and success in new undertakings.
Malachite - Worn to detect impending danger, stimulate the brain and expand your ability to love.
Moonstone - A blue, pink or white opalescent feldspar connected with moon magical lore. A receptive and love-drawing stone. Worn to renew or maintain a youthful appearance and attitude.
Mother-of-Pearl - Not a stone, but a lustrous and opalescent interior of various sea molluscs. Placed on newborn babies to protect them from perils of their new existence. Also used to attract wealth, money and riches.
Obsidian – A naturally occurring glass, formed when lava is cooled so fast that the minerals contained within didn’t have time to form. A grounding stone. Said to improve perception, sharpen senses and intellect.
Onyx - A black Chalcedony, used for protection as well as defense against negativity.
Pietersite – A variety of Tiger’s Eye, also called “Eagle’s Eye” due to its chatoyancy. Most rare and valuable of its kind. An uplifting stone.
Peridot – Birthstone for August. Its deep green hue suggests it’s a wealth attracting stone. Said to be an amulet for protection. Worn for healing, attracting love as well as to calm anger.
Petrified Wood - Fossilized wood, because of it's antiquity carried to extend life span or to increase our enjoyment of, and evolution within our lives.
Rhodochrosite - Worn to lend extra energy during times of extreme physical activity, de-stressing and to draw love.
Rhodonite - Worn to promote balance, be calm and cast off confusion and doubt.
Rose Quartz – Known as a “Stone of Love”, used to stimulate love, promote peace and happiness and fidelity in established relationships.
Smokey Quartz – A grounding stone, worn as a mood elevator and to overcome depression.
Sunstone - A form of feldspar associated with the sun. Spreads protective energy and said to increase sexual energy
Tiger's Eye – Also called Crocidolite Cat’s Eye as it’s chatoyancy or vertical luminescent band displays itself like that of a cat’s eye. Roman soldiers wore it for protection in battle. This warm stone is worn for courage, to improve self-confidence & aid concentration.
Tourmaline – Alternative birthstone for October. A unique crystal which is transparent when viewed from the side of the crystal and opaque from either end. Worn to repel negative energy and to express one’s potential talent.
Turquoise – Birthstone for December. An Arabic “lucky stone”. A sacred stone for American Indian tribes. Said to guard against the “evil eye”. Given as a gift, it bestows wealth and happiness upon its receiver. Worn to attract new friends.
